What is an RWAC?

The Ohio Regional Worker Adjustment Committees (RWAC) were established under Article 15 of the collective bargaining agreement between OCSEA/AFSCME and the State of Ohio.

Under Article 15, the mission of the statewide Labor-Management Employment Security Committee is:

            "...the establishment and implementation of programs to assist state employees who face dislocation or who are dislocated from their jobs as a result of layoff or reorganization, including career counseling, resume writing support, job search skills development and assistance, employability planning and preparation, and job retraining."

There are 6 regional worker adjustment committees in the state of Ohio. They are established to provide assistance to workers and employers in their regions.

The Regional Worker Adjustment Committees in Ohio are:

Central RWAC

Southeastern RWAC

Southwestern RWAC

Northwestern RWAC

Northern RWAC

Northeastern RWAC
